Job Description and Main Responsibilities

The Banking Associate at TD Bank plays a pivotal role in the delivery of TD’s brand promise at a store location. This professional is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The role requires performing a wide range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The Banking Associate is also responsible for delivering end-to-end advice customers expect and utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships.

Education and Experience Requirements

TD Bank seeks candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience, which may be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred, and the selected candidate will be required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. Other desirable skills include strong organizational ability, excellent communication, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is also preferred.

Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities

The Banking Associate at TD Bank is expected to provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. The role involves establishing and nurturing customer relationships, managing wait times, engaging in lobby leadership, and understanding and supporting the Bank’s customer service strategy. The associate is also responsible for ensuring compliance while completing operational activities according to company guidelines and regulations, such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act, to minimize risk and protect the customer.

The Banking Associate is expected to contribute to a positive work environment by aligning with TD Model, Brand, and Culture, participating fully as a team member, and actively seeking opportunities to improve the delivery of work with high attention to quality standards. Physical Requirements

The role requires the associate to perform sedentary work frequently and handle multiple tasks continuously. The associate may need to travel domestically on occasion and should be capable of lifting or carrying items under 25 lbs. occasionally. The ability to concentrate for long periods of time, apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations, and perform basic mathematical operations is essential.
