Role and Responsibilities of the Banking Associate
The Banking Associate plays a pivotal role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. This role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The Banking Associate is a vital part of the Personal & Commercial Banking line of business.
Your responsibilities will include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, educating customers on banking products and services, and providing consultative support. You will also be expected to use TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers to deepen relationships, attract, and retain them. This role requires you to understand customer financial needs and identify opportunities to promote and educate on products and services, or refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants for this role should have a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience working with customers. This can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, or military experience. Preferred qualifications include teller experience, demonstrated customer service skills, and the ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. You should also have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements and Additional Information
The role involves occasional domestic travel and requires the ability to perform multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, respond quickly to sounds, and concentrate for long periods of time.
