Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate is a key role at TD, responsible for delivering the brand’s promise at a store location. This professional is tasked with accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and educating customers on services, products, and tools that will enable them to achieve their financial goals.
The scope of this role includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on TD’s range of banking products and services. The Banking Associate is expected to build trust with customers through educational content and tools, provide consultative support, and advocate with proactive insights and recommendations. The associate utilizes TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and promote TD’s products and services.
Education & Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Banking Associate role should have a high school diploma or GED. At least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military service. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Teller experience and a Notary License are preferred but not mandatory.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate will consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD products to new and existing customers. They will manage wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings. Additionally, the associate will ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations to minimize risk and protect the customer.

As a team member, the Banking Associate is expected to contribute to a positive work environment by embracing TD’s brand and culture. They will actively seek opportunities to improve delivery of work with high attention to quality standards. The associate may also train and act as a mentor to newer colleagues, fostering a unique and inclusive culture that reflects TD’s diversity agenda.
Physical Requirements
The role may require occasional domestic travel and involves performing sedentary work and multiple tasks. The associate will operate standard office equipment and needs to be capable of responding quickly to sounds. The role may involve sitting, standing, and walking frequently, and occasionally moving safely in confined spaces and reaching forward.
Compensation, Development, and Benefits
