Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate position plays a pivotal role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at the store location. The associate is responsible for accurately completing daily banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The role involves executing tasks across multiple areas within the store, including customer transactions processing, new accounts opening, and customers education on all banking products and services.
Moreover, the Banking Associate is also expected to understand customer financial needs to promote and educate on products, services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal bank partner while ensuring a positive customer experience. The associate is also required to service customers on the teller line and platform with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit card/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online (digital) banking.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred. Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, demonstrated effective problem-solving skills, and proficient in Microsoft Office are also required. A Notary License is preferred.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is responsible for providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They are also expected to manage wait times to meet with a banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings. The associate needs to comply with all regulations, policies, and procedures adhering to required controls, critical dates, and accurate documents.
