Comprehensive Job Description
The role of a Banking Associate is pivotal in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. As an associate, you will be accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, while providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. This role encompasses a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Depth & Scope of the Role
Apart from everyday banking transactions, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of delivering end-to-end advice that customers expect. This includes building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations. You will utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and provide advice and guidance to attract and retain the customer.
As a Banking Associate, you will understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products and services. You will also refer customers to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner, ensuring a positive customer experience. Your role will also involve servicing the customer, on both the teller line and platform as needed, with the ability to service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit card/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile, and online (digital) banking.
What You Need to Bring
To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or GED, with at least 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or even military experience. A demonstrated ability to apply customer service skills is preferred, and teller experience would be an added advantage. You will also be required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, demonstrated effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also essential for this role. If you hold a Notary License, it will be considered a bonus.
Compensation Package and Working Hours
The role is a full-time position, with 40 working hours per week. The pay ranges from $22.00 – $27.75 USD.
