Job Overview

The Banking Associate is a key player in delivering TD Bank’s brand promise at the store location. This role is primarily responsible for accurately processing everyday banking transactions, providing valuable advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers reach their financial objectives.

The scope of the role is wide, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on various banking products and services. The Banking Associate is also expected to build trust with customers using educational content and tools, provide consultative support, and offer proactive insights and recommendations.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred, which can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and demonstrated problem-solving skills are also required. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected, and a Notary License is preferred.

Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legendary customer service, nurturing customer relationships, and managing wait times for client meetings. They will also be expected to comply with all established policies and procedures, understand and support the bank’s customer service strategy, and drive referrals to support the broader financial needs of customers.

On the shareholder side, the Banking Associate will ensure compliance when performing operational activities in line with company guidelines and regulations. They will accurately process cash, deposit, and withdrawal transactions, and other account servicing requests. Additionally, they will adhere to customer authentication principles and compliance regulations when opening new accounts and performing transactions.
