The role involves a 40 hours work week with a pay range of $22.00 – $27.75 USD. The actual base pay may vary based on the candidate’s skills, experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and specific business and organizational needs.

Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. The role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The associate is also responsible for opening new accounts, educating customers on all banking products and services, building trust, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations.
The associate is expected to use TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, understand their financial needs, and identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner, while ensuring a positive customer experience. They are also responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions either on the teller line or on the platform.
Education & Experience
The ideal candidate should hold a high school diploma or GED and have at least 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This could include volunteering, education, or military experience. The candidate should also have strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, sound judgment in decision making and problem-solving, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is preferred.
Customer, Shareholder, and Employee Accountabilities
The Banking Associate consistently provides legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. The associate is responsible for establishing and nurturing customer relationships, managing wait times to meet with a Banker, understanding and supporting the Bank’s customer service strategy, and complying with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
From the shareholder’s perspective, the associate ensures compliance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer. They are also responsible for accurately processing cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.
As a team member, the associate contributes to a positive work environment, collaborates with team members, actively seeks opportunities to improve delivery of work, and participates in TD’s Shared Commitments. They also help in training and mentoring newer colleagues.
Physical Requirements
The job involves frequent sedentary work, performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, and responding quickly to sounds. It also involves occasional domestic travel, moving safely in confined spaces, lifting/carrying items, squatting, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead and forward, pushing, pulling, twisting, and concentrating for long periods of time.
