Join the Personal & Commercial Banking Team as a Banking Associate

As a Banking Associate at TD, you will play a crucial role in delivering on TD’s brand promise at a store location. Accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools are part of the role’s responsibilities. Your job will involve helping customers achieve their financial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Banking Associate, you will perform a wide array of tasks across multiple areas within the store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. You will be responsible for building trust with customers through educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations.

To further deepen relationships with customers, you will utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers. By understanding the financial needs of the customers, you will identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner, while ensuring a positive customer experience.

Qualifications required for the role

To be considered for the role, candidates need to have a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience can also be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines are essential for this role. A notary license is preferred.

Customer Accountabilities

As a Banking Associate, you would be expected to consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. You would also be responsible for managing wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings.

Employee/Team Accountabilities

You will be expected to contribute to a positive work environment by aligning to TD Model, Brand, and Culture and participating fully as a member of the team. Furthermore, you should actively seek opportunities to improve delivery of work with high attention to quality standards.
