Job Description & Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays an integral role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. This role involves processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and providing advice on banking products and services. The associate is expected to guide customers to help them achieve their financial goals.
In terms of depth and scope, the Banking Associate is expected to perform a wide range of duties within the store location. These tasks include delivering end-to-end advice that customers expect, utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers, understanding customer financial needs, and accurately completing everyday banking transactions. The associate also connects with customers, provides financial advice, and deepens relationships through lead management activities.
Qualifications & Experience
TD prefers candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience. This experience could come from various fields, including volunteering, education, or military service. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and demonstrated problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required.
Moreover, the candidate should have the ability to work during operating hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Teller experience is preferred, and the successful candidate will be required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. Physical Requirements
The role requires the associate to perform sedentary work frequently, operate standard office equipment continuously, respond quickly to sounds, and sit and stand frequently. The associate may occasionally need to lift or carry items under and over 25 lbs. Concentration for long periods of time is a continuous requirement for this role, as well as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
