Job Opportunity: Banking Associate at TD Bank, Hilton Head Island
TD Bank, one of the world’s leading financial institutions and the fifth-largest bank in North America, is looking for a dedicated, customer-focused individual to join their team in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The role of Banking Associate is a crucial one, acting as a key player in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career in banking, with a base pay of $22.00 to $27.75 USD for 30 hours a week.
The Role of a Banking Associate
The Banking Associate is expected to perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas in the store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The role also involves identifying customer financial needs and promoting relevant products and services.
As a Banking Associate, you will be expected to deliver end-to-end advice to customers, building trust through educational content, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations. This is all part of TD Bank’s commitment to create a refreshingly simple banking experience for its clients.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate for the Banking Associate role should have a high school diploma or GED, with at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through a variety of channels, including volunteering, education, or military experience. The candidate should also have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
Additional qualifications such as teller experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a notary license are preferred. The candidate will also be required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.
Customer Accountabilities
At TD Bank, we believe all colleagues, no matter their role, are client-facing. A Banking Associate is expected to provide legendary customer service while promoting, educating, and referring TD products to both new and existing customers. This involves establishing and nurturing customer relationships, managing wait times, and understanding and supporting the Bank’s customer service strategy.
