Job Description: A Blend of Customer Service and Financial Expertise
In this role, the Banking Associate will play a pivotal role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the Franklin Lakes store location. The role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on TD’s services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
The Banking Associate will undertake a broad range of tasks, from processing customer transactions and opening new accounts, to educating customers on banking products and services. The incumbent will build trust by providing consultative support and proactive insights & recommendations. Utilizing TD’s systems and tools, the Banking Associate will engage with customers to deepen relationships and attract and retain customers.
Qualification and Experience
Prospective candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED and have at least a year’s experience working with customers in any capacity. Demonstrated customer service skills and teller experience are preferred. The position requires strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is preferred.

The Banking Associate is expected to consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD products to new and existing customers. The role also involves managing wait times for customers to meet with a Banker and engaging in lobby leadership. The incumbent has to demonstrate an understanding and support for the Bank’s customer service strategy. For shareholders, the role requires ensuring compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act.
