Job Description and Role
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at the store location. They are accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals.
Tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, providing advice and guidance to attract and retain customers, and uncovering customer financial needs. The Associate also services the customer with everyday bank transactions, regulation E, mobile and online banking, and manages customer experience and wait times effectively.
Education & Experience
The successful candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, with at least 1 year of customer service experience. Teller experience is preferred. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities and the aptitude to work independently and within deadlines are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and a Notary License is preferred.
Customer Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is expected to provide legendary customer service, establish and nurture customer relationships, manage wait times, engage in lobby leadership, and ensure compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements. They should also strive to understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy.
Shareholder and Employee/Team Accountabilities
From a shareholder perspective, the Banking Associate ensures compliance with company guidelines and regulations, processes transactions accurately, and maintains cash drawers and balances. As part of the team, the Associate contributes to a positive work environment, actively seeks opportunities to improve work delivery, embraces change, and may train and act as a mentor to newer colleagues.
Physical Requirements
The job demands performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting/carrying (under 25 lbs.).
