About the Role of a Banking Associate

The Banking Associate is a key player in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. This role is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. It involves a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within the store location.

These tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The role also involves delivering end-to-end advice to customers, utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, understanding customer financial needs, and accurately completing everyday banking transactions.

Education & Experience Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military service. Strong organization skills, excellent communication abilities, and demonstrated problem-solving skills are also required. Prior teller experience and a Notary License are preferred.

Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities

As a Banking Associate, you will be expected to consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. You’ll also be responsible for managing wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings. Shareholder accountabilities include ensuring compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations.

Physical Requirements

It also requires performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, and applying common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations.
