Responsibilities and Duties
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. The professional is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and educating customers on services, products, and tools to help them achieve their financial goals. The banking associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for this role, a high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least one year of customer service experience. This can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, or military experience. The candidate should possess strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to schedule and prioritize work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also preferred. Teller experience and a Notary License are beneficial but not required.
Customer Accountabilities
The banking associate is responsible for consistently providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. The associate manages wait times to meet with a banker by scheduling, rescheduling or canceling client meetings. The associate understands and supports the bank’s customer service strategy and considers the impact of decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders.
Physical Requirements
The job requires the ability to perform sedentary work, respond quickly to sounds, and concentrate for long periods of time. It involves occasional domestic travel, frequent sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to move safely in confined spaces. Lifting and carrying items under and over 25 lbs. is occasionally required. The role also requires the application of common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations.
