Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate, a key professional in banking, delivers TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools that help customers achieve their financial goals.
Depth & Scope
The Banking Associate performs a broad range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location. The tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The associate is expected to provide end-to-end advice customers expect, utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers, and understand customer financial needs to promote and educate on products and services.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for this role is expected to possess a high school diploma or GED. A year of experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred. Teller experience is also preferred. The candidate needs to have strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required, and having a Notary License is preferred.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is responsible for providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They are expected to establish and nurture customer relationships, manage wait times to meet with a Banker, and understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy.
From a shareholder’s perspective, the associate ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with the company’s guidelines and regulations. They are accountable for accurately processing cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests. The associate also ensures compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures, adhering to required controls, critical dates, and accurate documents.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands for this role include performing sedentary work, performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, and concentrating for long periods of time. The associate might occasionally need to engage in domestic travel, lifting/carrying items, and moving safely in confined spaces.
