Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate is a key player in delivering TD Bank’s brand promise at a store location. The role involves performing a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within the store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
The Banking Associate is responsible for delivering end-to-end advice customers expect by building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, advocating with proactive insights & recommendations, and utilizing TD Bank’s systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships. The role also involves understanding customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner.[3]
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants are required to have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, military experience. Preference will be given to candidates with strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.[4]
Physical Requirements
The job involves frequent sedentary work, performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, and responding quickly to sounds. It also requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional lifting/carrying of items under 25 lbs.
