Role Description and Expectations

The Banking Associate plays a pivotal role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. The role involves processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and offering advice on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The associate also has the responsibility of accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing consultative support based on the customer’s financial needs.

Skills and Experience Required

Successful candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, military experience, and more. Other preferred skills include demonstrated customer service and teller experience, excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a Notary License are also advantageous.

Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities

The Banking Associate is expected to provide legendary customer service while promoting, educating, and referring TD products to new and existing customers. They should also understand and support the bank’s customer service strategy, considering the impact of their decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders.

On the shareholder side, the associate should ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. This includes accurately processing cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions, opening/closing accounts, servicing accounts, and adhering to required controls, critical dates, and accurate documents.

The associate should contribute positively to the work environment and actively seek opportunities for personal and career development. Physical Requirements and Additional Information

The nature of the job requires the associate to perform multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, respond quickly to sounds, and apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations. The role may also require occasional domestic travel, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting/carrying of items up to 25 lbs.
