Your Role as a Banking Associate

As a Banking Associate, you will be a key figure in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. Your role will involve accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.

Depth and Scope of Your Role

The role is multi-faceted and will see you performing a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location. You will be involved in processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. You will also engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships by providing advice and guidance. You will identify customer financial needs and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal bank partner while ensuring a positive customer experience.

Education and Experience Required

To qualify for this role, you need a high school diploma or GED. A year of experience working with customers in any capacity, such as volunteering, education, or military experience, is preferred. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is preferred but not required.

Your Accountabilities

As a Banking Associate, you are accountable for providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD products to new and existing customers. You will also be responsible for managing wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings. Furthermore, you are expected to understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy and consider the impact of decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders.

Shareholder and Employee/Team Accountabilities

From a shareholder perspective, you are responsible for ensuring compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations, such as the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act. As a team member, you are expected to contribute to a positive work environment and collaborate with team members to contribute to the success of the team and the organization.

Physical Requirements

The role involves frequent sedentary work, performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, and frequently standing and walking. Occasionally, it may involve lifting or carrying items under or over 25 lbs, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
