Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate is a key player in delivering TD’s brand promise, responsible for accurately executing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The role requires excellent customer service skills, a deep understanding of customer financial needs, and the ability to use TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers and deepen relationships.
Key Tasks
The Banking Associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location. These include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about banking products and services. The Banking Associate also delivers end-to-end advice to customers, builds trust with educational content & tools, provides consultative support, and advocates with proactive insights & recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience
An ideal candidate for the Banking Associate position should possess a high school diploma or GED. A year’s experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred, which could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. The candidate should also have demonstrated customer service skills and teller experience. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required. A notary license is preferred.
Physical Requirements
The role requires the ability to perform multiple tasks and operate standard office equipment continuously. Simultaneously, it involves frequent sedentary work, responding quickly to sounds, sitting, standing, walking, and occasional domestic travel. The ability to move safely in confined spaces, lift/carry items under and over 25 lbs, squat, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, reach overhead, and forward and apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations is also required.
