TD Bank’s Banking Associate: A Key Role in Delivering Brand Promise

TD Bank is currently offering a part-time position as a Banking Associate in West Hartford, Connecticut, United States of America. This position plays a critical role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. The Banking Associate is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals.

Depth & Scope of the Banking Associate Role

The Banking Associate role at TD Bank covers a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The associate is also responsible for delivering end-to-end advice customers expect, including building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations.

Education & Experience

Applicants for the Banking Associate position should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, or military experience. Additional skills such as excellent communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently are highly valued. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a requirement, while a notary license is preferred.

Customer Accountabilities

As a Banking Associate, one must consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. This role also entails managing wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings. The Banking Associate is also expected to understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy.

The Banking Associate is expected to contribute to a positive work environment by aligning to TD Model, Brand, and Culture. This involves actively seeking opportunities to improve delivery of work, embracing change, and acting as a brand champion both internally and externally. This role also includes potential mentoring opportunities for newer colleagues.

Physical Requirements

Given the nature of the Banking Associate role, it involves frequent sitting, standing, walking, and performing multiple tasks. Occasionally, the role may also require activities such as lifting/carrying items under 25 lbs, bending, kneeling, and reaching forward. Concentration for long periods of time is required for this role.
