What Does a Banking Associate Do?
The Banking Associate role is a key position in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. The responsibility of this role includes accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The scope of the role is wide and diverse, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Who are we looking for?
Ideally, the candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, with at least a year of customer service experience. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or even military service. Additionally, the candidate should have strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also preferred.
Customer Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is expected to provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD products to both new and existing customers. They are also responsible for managing wait times to meet with a banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings and ensure tasks are performed within established policy and procedures.
Shareholder Accountabilities
Among the key shareholder accountabilities, the Banking Associate role includes ensuring compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. They are also expected to accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.
Employee/Team Accountabilities
The associate is expected to contribute to a positive work environment by aligning to TD’s model, brand, and culture.
