Role of a Banking Associate at TD Bank
TD Bank is currently looking for a Banking Associate who will play a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location in Denville, New Jersey. The role involves completing everyday banking transactions accurately and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals.
Depth and Scope of the Role
The Banking Associate will be expected to perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within the store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The associate will also be responsible for building trust with educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations. The goal is to engage with Customers, understand their financial needs, and ultimately attract and retain them.
Education and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate for the role of Banking Associate should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and within deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are all essential. A notary license is preferred but not mandatory.
Customer, Shareholder, and Team Accountabilities
The Banking Associate will need to consistently provide legendary customer service, manage wait times, and understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy. They will also be responsible for complying with company guidelines and regulations, performing transactions accurately, and following policy and procedure for Customer Authentication. Additionally, the Banking Associate will be expected to contribute to a positive work environment, collaborate with team members, and actively seek opportunities to improve delivery of work with high attention to quality standards.
Physical Requirements and Additional Information
Physical requirements for the role include occasional domestic travel, frequent sedentary work, and handling multiple tasks. The role may also require standing, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 25 lbs. on occasion.
