Key Responsibilities of a Bank Services Representative
1. Office Operations
Our Bank Services Representatives handle a variety of financial transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing. You’ll be responsible for cash balancing and minimizing errors in financial transactions. Your role will also involve opening and maintaining retail deposit accounts and ensuring accuracy in all account-related tasks. In addition, you’ll support overall office functions to ensure smooth daily operations.
2. Customer Service & Relationship Building
Delivering top-notch service to both existing and prospective customers is paramount. As a Bank Services Representative, you’ll foster trust and create lasting professional relationships. You’ll act as a knowledgeable resource for customer inquiries regarding our bank products and services. Maintaining a positive, approachable demeanor while assisting customers at the Bank Services Representative window is a key part of this role.
3. Professional Growth & Compliance
Staying up-to-date with bank policies, products, services, and industry regulations is crucial to ensure all operations meet legal and regulatory standards. You’ll participate in ongoing training to enhance your skills, understand federal and state regulations, and adhere to compliance procedures. This includes adhering to all relevant banking laws, such as the Bank Secrecy Act and FinCEN Regulations.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Our work environment requires periods of standing, sitting, and walking. You may need to lift up to 60 lbs. on occasion. The role is primarily office-based, with direct interaction with customers, providing exceptional service at the bank’s service windows.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in cash handling, sales, customer service, or banking is a plus. Familiarity with computer programs used during the workday is also necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with both customers and teammates are essential. We’re looking for a candidate who is dedicated to accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting, and have a proactive approach to learning and personal development.
