One of the crucial roles within our organization is that of a Sales and Service Representative. This role is integral to our operations as it involves not just processing transactions but also handling customer service requests at the branch level.
Beyond these responsibilities, our Sales and Service Representative plays a critical role in improving customer awareness and understanding of our bank’s capabilities, tools, and resources. This position supports the sales efforts of a branch team by identifying and referring sales opportunities to the appropriate bank partner.

The successful candidate for this role will need to demonstrate several key skills:
- Interpersonal Communication Skills: Candidates should be comfortable and confident in proactively engaging in conversation.
- Customer Service Skills: Demonstrating professionalism and empathy in customer interactions is a must.
- Sales Skills: Candidates should be able to support the team by making client servicing calls, identifying client needs, and fulfilling these needs or referring the client to the appropriate branch team members or specialist.
- Adaptability: In an ever-evolving banking industry, the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new information and technology is crucial.
- Teamwork: Building strong working relationships within the team and cross-functionally is essential.

Key Responsibilities of a Sales and Service Representative
The essential functions of the job include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
- Engaging customers in conversation to understand their banking needs and preferences
- Processing transactions accurately and efficiently
- Providing assistance with account servicing needs
- Facilitating customer awareness and education of bank services, including digital banking capabilities
- Introducing customers to other branch team members or bank partners who are able to provide solutions for their financial needs
Qualifications for the Role
As a prospective candidate, you should possess a High School Diploma or GED and have at least 6 months of experience in customer service and cash handling. Preferred areas of experience include sales and previous banking roles. Financial literacy and knowledge of retail banking products and services are vital skills for this role.
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $19.72 to $27.00 per hour. The actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
