Role of a Bank Regional Retail Leader at Availa Bank
The Bank Regional Retail Leader is a critical role in our organization, responsible for implementing strategic initiatives for the retail team across their assigned locations. Essential Duties and Accountabilities of a Bank Regional Retail Leader
Our Bank Regional Retail Leaders are entrusted with a host of responsibilities, including:
- Coaching, leading, and managing Branch Managers and/or Assistant Branch Managers to execute strategic initiatives effectively.
- Fostering a positive work culture by recognizing strong performance, supporting employee engagement, and developing action plans to enhance the employee experience.
- Conducting regular visits to all branch locations, providing one-on-one coaching, monitoring sales activities, and recognizing key achievements.
- Developing and executing the Universal Banker strategy to drive growth and profitability.
- Collaborating with the Director of Retail Banking and Market Presidents to align market goals with the bank’s overarching strategy.
- Implementing and coaching an advice-driven sales process that emphasizes customer-centric solutions.
- Identifying performance gaps and creating and implementing action plans to meet bank objectives.
- Sourcing and managing the deposit portfolio.
- Conducting consumer lending training and approvals for the designated region.
Qualifications for the Bank Regional Retail Leader Role
Our Bank Regional Retail Leaders are expected to have certain qualifications, including:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a business or sales-related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years in a multiple location leadership role, ideally in a banking environment.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- 6-8 years extensive experience in a comparable position may be a substitute for education.
Additionally, they need to demonstrate positive leadership, have the ability to challenge, train and motivate a team, have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and display a “lead by example” mentality among other skills and abilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Bank Regional Retail Leader plays a significant supervisory role, responsible for training employees, planning work assignments, appraising performance, rewarding and taking corrective action with employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with the bank’s policies and applicable laws.
