Job Description and Responsibilities
The Bank Regional Retail Leader is a strategic role within Availa Bank. The individual in this position will be responsible for implementing and executing strategic initiatives for the retail team across various locations. The role requires fostering a customer-centric culture, stimulating employee engagement, driving growth, and focusing on coaching and sales activities.
The essential duties and accountabilities of the Bank Regional Retail Leader include but are not limited to the following:
- Leading and managing Branch Managers and/or Assistant Branch Managers and their teams effectively to execute the retail department’s strategic initiatives.
- Providing visionary leadership to foster a culture of customer focus and high engagement within the Universal Banking team.
- Promoting a positive work culture by recognizing strong performance, supporting employee engagement, and developing action plans to enhance the employee experience.
- Conducting regular visits to all branch locations, providing one-on-one coaching, monitoring sales activities, and recognizing key achievements.
- Developing and executing a Universal Banker strategy to drive growth and profitability.

Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for the Bank Regional Retail Leader role should possess the following qualifications:
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in a business or sales-related discipline is required.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years in a multiple location leadership role, preferably in a banking environment, is required. The candidate should also have strong sales and negotiation skills. A 6-8 years extensive experience in a comparable position may be a substitute for education.
Other Skills and Abilities
The candidate should possess exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. The ability to lead a diverse team, monitor employee engagement, foster a positive working environment, and travel to all retail locations to support communication and coaching efforts is essential. The candidate should also have the ability to challenge, train, and motivate a team to achieve high production goals and demonstrate a “lead by example” mentality.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Bank Regional Retail Leader is responsible for supervising staff in accordance with the bank’s policies and applicable laws. The responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and taking corrective action with employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
