Job Description: Bank Operations Vault Specialist
As a Bank Operations Vault Specialist at Regions, you will be responsible for supplying one or more functional units with coin and currency. This critical role involves maintaining established levels of vault cash, ordering cash from the Federal Reserve Bank as required, verifying sums of coin and currency received, and handling inquiries via phone, email, and ticketing system, among other responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain established levels of vault cash
- Place orders for cash from the Federal Reserve Bank as needed
- Verify sums of coin and currency received from functional units, customers, and branch associates
- Contact appropriate sender in case of error
- Prepare and ship excess coin and currency to the Federal Reserve Bank or other functional units as needed
- Perform vault support services tasks
- Answer inquiries via phone, email, and ticketing system
This position requires tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements and Skills
The job requires a High School Diploma or GED, and for positions within physical vaults, the ability to lift 50 pounds. Additionally, banking or branch experience and cash handling experience are preferred. The role demands the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent customer service skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong math, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a strong work ethic and self-motivation.
