Job Description and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will guide, direct, and coach employees to deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. They will understand the needs of BMO customers and prospects, providing sales and service in the best interests of the customer. Additionally, they will advise customers on products and strategies to meet their financial objectives, make referrals to other business groups, and support sales and customer service activities.
The role also involves developing and executing a branch business plan, conducting sales calls, establishing a personal referral network, and probing to understand customer personal banking and credit card needs. The Bank Manager will have a high-touch relationship with key branch customers and prospects within the market, resolving customer-related issues and fulfilling sales and service activities for the customer in accordance with approved procedures.
Regulatory Requirements
In the U.S., this position will act as an originator of consumer loans, requiring a Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. The Bank will instruct the successful candidate on the registration requirements needed to comply with this requirement. A criminal background review and credit history evaluation will be required for this position, as well as restrictions on performing in a real estate agent capacity.
Qualifications
Applicants should have between 4 – 6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services, advanced knowledge of the competitive marketplace and trends, and a working knowledge of branch operational processes and policies. They will also need to have technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience, and excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Salary and Compensation
The salary range for this position is between $57,500.00 – $106,500.00 and is salaried pay type. BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package varies based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards. BMO also offers health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
