Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will partner with internal stakeholders to deliver sales activities and results for selected retail sales programs/products. As an expert in the retail banking market, your role will involve growing the market share by establishing strong relationships within the designated market.

Additionally, you’ll participate in joint sales calls, team meetings, and identify and refer business opportunities to key partners. These partners include both Commercial Banking and Wealth Management, which allows for the delivery of holistic client solutions to clients.

U.S. Only

For U.S. applicants, this position will require you to act as an originator of consumer loans, as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and S.A.F.E. Act. Therefore, you’ll require a Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. BMO will instruct you on the necessary registration requirements. Note that this position also demands a criminal background review and credit history evaluation. Restrictions on performing in a real estate agent capacity will also apply.

Detailed Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will extend to developing and executing a market business plan. This includes designing sales strategies to achieve retail sales program/product objectives. You’ll represent the retail sales programs/products at sales calls and events, generate appointments, and identify opportunities to grow business results.

Additionally, you’ll manage regional retail sales programs/products to maximize client opportunities across BMO and develop solutions and recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.

Your role also includes recommending program design changes, providing strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor, and acting as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies. Networking opportunities with industry contacts will also be available to gain competitive insights and best practices.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you should typically have over seven years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You should meet all CFPB and Safe Act requirements and adhere to all compliance, regulatory, and legal guidelines. In-depth / expert knowledge of retail products and retail branch networks is required. Also, your presentation skills, time management, business development success, customer-oriented focus, proactive and collaborative nature are key to performing in this role.

Benefits & Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $91,800.00 – $171,000.00, and it’s a salaried position. BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package varies based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, retirement savings plans, and other perks and rewards.
