This opportunity comes with a salary range between 225,000.00 – 225,000.00, with the final figure being contingent on the successful candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.

A Unique Opportunity in Global Banking and Markets

Scotiabank’s Global Banking and Markets (GBM) division provides a full range of investment banking, credit, and risk management products and services that cater to the financing and strategic development needs of its clients. The products range from debt and equity financing, mergers & acquisitions, corporate banking, and institutional equity sales to trading and research, fixed income products, derivatives, energy, foreign exchange, and precious & metals.

As an Associate Director, you will contribute to the overall success of the Global Securitization team in the United States, ensuring individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed in line with the team’s business strategies and objectives. The role requires adherence to all governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include championing a customer-focused culture to expand and deepen client relationships, spearheading term ABS lead role engagements, managing the lifecycle of securitization financing transactions, coordinating with mid-office and back office for various activities, assisting in negotiating terms and documentation, working with junior team members on pitch books and marketing presentations, maintaining the existing portfolio, attending due diligence meetings and client market meetings, reviewing monthly servicer reports, and monitoring asset performance trends. Moreover, you will be expected to be an active ally and advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, fostering a culture of inclusivity.

What You Need to Bring

As an ideal candidate, you should have sound knowledge of securitization fundamentals, with experience in [esoteric] ABS. A degree in Business or a related field is required, with an MBA/CPA/CFA or other industry designation being helpful. You should have banking experience in a Structured Finance or related environment, computer proficiencies (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), excellent written and oral communication skills, experience in credit analysis, and familiarity with legal document review. A high level of commitment, a strong sense of teamwork, and Series 63 & 79 are preferred.
