Job Opportunity: Banking Operations Specialist
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Banking Operations Specialist to support critical financial operations and provide external customer service support as needed. This role is responsible for wire processing, settlements, reconciliations, reporting, and ensuring data integrity across multiple systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong accuracy and accountability, and is comfortable supporting evening operational processes when required.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Banking Operations Specialist include, but are not limited to, overseeing loan-level exceptions and providing feedback or approval as appropriate, processing manual wire requests and funds transfers, supporting the processing of pool settlement verification, FHLMC 996s, MERS reporting, and loan transactions in the collateral system. The role also involves performing closing agent setups, post-closing verifications, researching client requests, and assisting in the end of day close out reconciliation/reporting process and daily GL balancing.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in financial operations, wire processing, or banking operations, with familiarity with wire systems, settlement processes, and reconciliation. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, professional communication skills (verbal and written), and a strong sense of accountability, teamwork, and customer service are also essential.
