Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in an extensive training program provided by Wells Fargo Advisors. This program is designed to equip the individual with the requisite skills and knowledge needed to achieve personal, professional, and organizational client service and financial goals within the Financial Advisory – Bank function.
Additionally, the role requires a review of basic or tactical client goals and risk tolerance. This includes assessing the investment profile and evaluating the client’s financial needs related to lower risk tasks and deliverables with narrower impact. The position also includes customer contact and duties that may involve assessing and referring customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member.
The Associate Bank Financial Advisor will assist customers without taking an application or offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. Meeting the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) as outlined in the job expectations is also a part of the role.
Qualifications for the Role
Required Qualifications
The prospective candidate should have a minimum of 6 months of Customer Service, Sales, or Relationship Building experience. This can be demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education. Successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or equivalent is also a requirement.
Desired Qualifications
FINRA registration including Series 7 and 66 (or FINRA recognized equivalents) is highly preferred. Financial services experience, client services experience, and a minimum of 6 months of client or sales services experience are also desired. Experience in developing and managing client relationships and sales or sales support experience will be advantageous. A BS/BA degree or higher is also preferred.
Job Expectations and Compliance
Meeting the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and complying with related Wells Fargo policies are crucial. This includes meeting financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness.
FINRA licensing requirements must also be adhered to. This includes completion of the FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) examinations, or equivalent, within a specified time period following commencement of employment. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory.
Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. Candidates must also comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
