Wells Fargo, a leading and renowned financial institution, is currently seeking to fill the role of an Associate Bank Financial Advisor (LO) in its Wealth and Investment Management division. Role Responsibilities
The Associate Bank Financial Advisor (LO) role involves a variety of responsibilities. The candidate will be required to enrol in Wells Fargo Advisors’ training program, aimed at enhancing personal, professional, and organizational client service and financial goals within the Financial Advisory – Bank function.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of clients’ financial goals and risk tolerance. The candidate will be required to assess clients’ investment profiles and evaluate their financial needs. This process involves dealing with lower risk tasks and deliverables that have a narrow impact.
Importantly, the LO position involves direct customer contact. The candidate will be required to assess customer needs and refer customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. This role does not involve taking an application or offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. However, the candidate must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO).
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants for this position must have at least 6+ months of experience in Customer Service, Sales, or Relationship Building, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. Additionally, it is a prerequisite that the candidate has successfully completed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or its equivalent.
Desirable qualifications for this role include FINRA registration, including Series 7 and 66, or FINRA recognized equivalents. Prior experience in financial services, client services, sales, or sales support is highly desirable. Applicants with a BS/BA degree or higher are preferred.
Job Expectations and Compliance
The role of Associate Bank Financial Advisor (LO) is subject to strict compliance with Wells Fargo’s policies and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements. This includes meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will conduct a credit check to assess the candidate’s financial responsibility and credit fitness, but a credit score is not part of the evaluation.
Applicants for the LO position must be willing to obtain and maintain appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) for ongoing employment in this position. This requirement may include passing the FINRA Series 7 and 66 examinations, or equivalent, within a specified time frame following commencement of employment.
Successful candidates will be subject to periodic FINRA background screening requirements and must comply with ongoing regulatory obligations. This includes mandatory reporting of certain incidents and compliance with Wells Fargo’s policies regarding outside activities and personal investing.
