Key Responsibilities of the Role

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in Wells Fargo Advisors’ comprehensive training program. This program is designed to enhance the personal, professional, and organizational skills necessary to meet client service and financial goals within the Financial Advisory – Bank function.

The Associate Bank Financial Advisor will review basic or tactical client goals and risk tolerance, assess investment profiles, and evaluate clients’ financial needs. The focus will be on lower-risk tasks and deliverables with narrower impact. Furthermore, this role involves customer contact and duties related to assessing and referring customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. The incumbent will assist customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should have more than 6 months of experience in Customer Service, Sales, or Relationship Building, or an equivalent combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education. Additionally, they should have successfully completed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or an equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Wells Fargo prefers candidates with FINRA registration, including Series 7 and 66, or equivalent. Experience in financial services, client services, and sales or sales support is highly desirable. Candidates with a BS/BA degree or higher and experience in developing and managing client relationships will be given preference. Overall, applicants with more than 6 months of client or sales services experience are highly sought after.

Job Expectations and Compliance

Loan Originator (LO) applicants must comply with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and related Wells Fargo policies. The evaluation process includes assessing financial responsibility and credit fitness using a current credit report. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary.

In addition to these requirements, individuals in the LO position must obtain and/or maintain appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s). Specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply, and compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory.

It should be noted that this position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. Affected employees will be expected to abide by specific compliance policies regarding outside activities and/or personal investing. Furthermore, this position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
