Role and Responsibilities
The prospective Associate Bank Financial Advisor will play an instrumental role in achieving personal, professional, and organizational client service and financial goals within the Financial Advisory – Bank function. The role involves participation in the Wells Fargo Advisors training program, designed to enhance proficiency in various areas pertinent to the job role.
The individual will be expected to review clients’ basic or tactical goals and risk tolerance, assess investment profiles, and evaluate financial needs related to lower-risk tasks and deliverables with narrower impact. The LO position includes customer contact and duties may include needs assessing and referring customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. This role does not involve taking an application or offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have at least 6 months of experience in Customer Service, Sales, Relationship Building, or an equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. Successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or equivalent is also required.
Desired Qualifications
FINRA registration including Series 7 and 66 (or FINRA recognized equivalents), financial services experience, client services experience, 6 + months of client or sales services experience, experience in developing and managing client relationships, sales or sales support experience, and a BS/BA degree or higher are preferred.
Job Expectations
Loan Originator (LO) positions at Wells Fargo require that candidates meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. Candidates should also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary. This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements and candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire.
Furthermore, obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. Specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance.
This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship and is based in Chicago, IL.
