The team supports pre-IPO growth and middle market private and public companies in the innovation ecosystem by evaluating, structuring, and underwriting loan facilities and other credit exposures.

Job Summary: Analyst at MUFG
As an Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to support the Growth & Middle Market Technology Banking team in achieving their client growth and profitability goals. Your daily activities will vary, but they will center on the following responsibilities:
- Preparing materials for client and prospect meetings, including external pitchbooks, bespoke slides, public information books, and term sheets.
- Supporting senior leadership on strategic projects and broader team initiatives.
- Creating market intelligence by synthesizing industry research, market trends, and competitive dynamics into sector insights.
- Prospecting new clients and creating ad-hoc reports to find opportunities.
- Assisting with client onboarding – KYC, profitability/returns approvals, etc.
Moreover, you will be tasked with keeping the National Sales Report, Monthly Calling Activity Report active, and managing the Master sales deck and other related materials. You will also prepare unsolicited term sheets for prospective clients and attend events and client calls as time allows.
Part of your role will also involve supporting the Credit Solutions team with portfolio reviews, underwriting memos/analysis, and financial spreading/modelling.
Skills & Experience Required for the Analyst Role
- Credit underwriting or portfolio management experience (ideal but not required)
- At least one year of commercial/corporate banking experience
- Accounting and finance experience
- Interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills
- Organization and time management skills with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Experience with financial modeling and spreadsheets
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related major, including Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Compensation & Benefits at MUFG
The base pay range for the Analyst role is between $100k – $125k, depending on your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
