The Opportunity at USAA
As a dedicated Director of Bank Claims Operation for Claims Reconciliations, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the General Ledger (GL) Reconciliation function within Bank Claims. This is a critical role that requires the reconciliation of multiple financial accounts within their assigned SLOs. This role demands effective partnership across the Bank and the CAO Teams.
The role is remote eligible in the continental U.S., with occasional business travel. However, individuals living within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site four days per week.
What Your Role Will Entail:
As the Director of Bank Claims Operation for Claims Reconciliations, you will be expected to perform various duties, including:
- Providing oversight for the end-to-end process of bank disputes and resolutions.
- Ensuring efficient utilization of allocated resources and effectiveness in terms of meeting member, organizational, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining knowledge of relevant regulatory environment to ensure compliance across areas of responsibility, and identifying, developing, and recommending improvements to Disputes Fraud and Non-Fraud processes and service delivery across all channels.
- Leading functional projects, programs, and initiatives through successful execution and implementation.
What You Need to Bring:
To excel in this role, you need to possess the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience.
- 8 years of related experience in bank operations including program/project management, process improvement, or business analysis.
- 4 years of operational risk experience in a highly regulatory environment.
- 3 years of experience working with Federal Regulations as it relates to Fraud and Disputes, specifically knowledge of Regulation E, Regulation Z and/or UDAAP.

- Experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
- Experience in a Bank Claims environment supporting GL reconciliation for multiple accounts.
- Strong understanding of loss and recovery financials within a Bank Claims environment.

Compensation and Benefits
At USAA, we believe in rewarding our employees for their hard work and dedication. The salary range for this position is: $103,450 – $186,210.
