Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate is a professional in banking and plays a key role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location in Saco, Maine. This role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. The Banking Associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Education and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate for the Banking Associate role must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred, and the candidate must complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. Other essential skills include strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, the ability to schedule and prioritize work, work independently and within deadlines, and sound judgment in decision-making. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and a Notary License is preferred.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is responsible for providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. The associate should understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy and consider the impact of decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders. In addition, the associate is responsible for managing wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings. The associate also ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.
