Personal & Commercial Banking: Job Description
The Banking Associate plays a pivotal role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the Exton store location. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Depth & Scope of the Role
The Banking Associate will perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within the Exton store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, educating customers on banking products and services, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations. The role also involves utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, deepen relationships, and ultimately attract and retain them.
Education & Experience
Candidates for the Banking Associate role should have a high school diploma or GED. One year of experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, military service, etc. Additionally, teller experience, strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also preferred. A notary license is a plus.
Customer Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is the frontline of TD Bank’s customer service strategy. They are responsible for consistently providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. The associate also manages wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings, and helps orchestrate the customer walk-in traffic.
Shareholder and Employee/Team Accountabilities
As a representative of TD Bank, the Banking Associate has responsibilities towards shareholders and the team as well. These include ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulations, accurately processing transactions, and contributing to a positive work environment. The successful candidate will also actively seek opportunities to improve delivery of work with high attention to quality standards and be engaged in advancing and sustaining a unique, inclusive culture.
Physical Requirements
The role of a Banking Associate involves a range of physical activities including occasional domestic travel, frequent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional lifting/carrying of items under and over 25 lbs.
