Job Responsibilities and Scope

The Banking Associate role at TD involves a wide range of responsibilities across multiple areas within the store location. From processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, to educating customers on all banking products and services, this role is multifaceted. The Banking Associate will also be responsible for delivering end-to-end advice that customers expect, building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations. The associate will also leverage TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and attract and retain customers.

Skills and Experience Requirements

For the Banking Associate role, a high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience can also be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. TD is particularly interested in candidates with demonstrated customer service skills and teller experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete teller training and part of the platform training upon hire. Other essential skills include strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements of the Role

The Banking Associate role requires certain physical demands. These include performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, and responding quickly to sounds. The role will often involve sitting, standing, walking, and occasionally lifting/carrying items under 25 lbs. Domestic travel may be required occasionally. The role also requires the ability to concentrate for long periods of time, apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations, and perform mathematical operations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
