The Role of a Personal Banking Associate
A Personal Banking Associate at Cornerstone Bank plays a crucial role in supporting our Personal Bankers. This position involves assisting with various tasks, including collateral perfection and tracking, monitoring, tickler resolution, and other duties necessary for timely loan closings and account openings. Our associates also provide ongoing support in monitoring client accounts. Training is provided to ensure proficiency in all customer service specialist tasks, making the role diverse and dynamic.
Key Skills and Knowledge Required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Understanding of all bank deposit products and policies
- Basic knowledge of bank mortgage and investment products and services
- Familiarity with federal banking regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Regulation E, and teller roles and responsibilities relating to each act
Background and Experience
Our ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED and has at least three years of banking or related experience. However, we believe in growth and learning, so we consider an equivalent combination of education and experience that sufficiently prepares the candidate to perform the essential duties of the job.
