Job Description
The Banking Associate is a professional role within the Personal & Commercial Banking line of business at TD Bank. The associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. The role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Depth & Scope
The role involves a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location, such as processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The associate will also be responsible for providing consultative support, advocating with proactive insights & recommendations, and using TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers to deepen relationships.
Education & Experience
The successful candidate for this role should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, or military experience. Other essential skills include excellent communication, problem-solving, organization and the ability to work independently and within deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required, and a Notary License is preferred.
Customers & Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is expected to provide legendary customer service, establish and nurture customer relationships, manage wait times to meet with a banker, and understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy. For shareholders, the associate is expected to ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations.
