Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate is a key player in delivering TD’s brand promise at store level. This role is accountable for executing everyday banking transactions with precision, providing advice, and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
The scope of this role is broad, spanning multiple areas within a store location. The Banking Associate is tasked with processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. They deliver end-to-end advice to customers, build trust through educational content and tools, offer consultative support, and make proactive insights and recommendations.
Education and Experience
For this role, a high school diploma or GED is required. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity, demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred, along with strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is expected to consistently provide outstanding customer service while transacting, promoting, and referring TD products to both new and existing customers. They play a vital role in managing wait times, engaging in lobby leadership, and understanding and supporting the Bank’s customer service strategy.
From a shareholder perspective, the Banking Associate ensures compliance while completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations, such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act, to minimize risk and protect the customer.
