Job Purpose & Scope at Bank OZK

Our banking center managers are responsible for effectively managing the banking center, providing leadership and setting high standards of accountability for team members. They’re expected to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with peers, business partners, and the community while providing business development leadership and management. They strive to provide exceptional customer service at all times.

Essential Job Functions at Bank OZK

Banking center managers at Bank OZK play a vital role in many areas. From managing branch staff, daily supervision, interviewing and hiring, training, performance appraisals, career development, to pay recommendations, and separations of direct reports, their role is multi-faceted. They also lead and engage associates in daily huddles to foster relationship-building activities. They are instrumental in generating growth that supports the bank’s goals by retaining, growing, and attracting clients. They also model and champion the Bank’s standards for exceptional customer service and display a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism at all times.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required for the Position

Banking center managers at Bank OZK need to have comprehensive knowledge of retail bank products and services. They should be familiar with bank regulations, policies, procedures, and operational standards. They need to have the ability to think strategically, manage, lead, and train team members effectively, and provide excellent customer service. They should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate critical thinking skills and accurate and efficient productivity.

Basic Qualifications for the Role

The basic qualifications for the banking center manager position at Bank OZK include a Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience, 2+ years’ retail client service and/or business development experience, and proven achievement of business growth goals and financial targets. Experience managing, leading and coaching professionals is also required, along with comprehensive knowledge of bank products/services and regulations. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are also required.
