Role and Responsibilities
As a bank manager, your role will be to guide, direct, and coach employees to ensure they deliver top-notch service to BMO customers and prospects. You’ll be expected to understand the needs of customers, advise them on suitable financial products, and make referrals to other business groups as necessary. This position requires compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and the Bank’s policies and processes.
For U.S. applicants, this position will act as an originator of consumer loans, as defined by various regulations, and will require Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. Background checks and credit history evaluations are essential for this role.

Additionally, the bank manager will be expected to maintain high-touch relationships with key customers and prospects within the market and resolve customer-related issues using their knowledge of bank services, products, and processes. They must also regularly connect their work to BMO’s purpose, ensuring the highest value for all stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have between 4 – 6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study. Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred. The candidate must possess an in-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services, advanced knowledge of the competitive marketplace, and trends in product offerings. They should also have a working knowledge of branch operational processes and policies, and branch technologies, processes, and performance metrics.
Remuneration
The salary for this role ranges between $46,000.00 – $85,200.00. This is a salaried position, but the compensation package may also include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards. BMO also offers health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
