Mortgage Banking Advisor Role at WSFS Bank
The bank is currently seeking the services of a Mortgage Banking Advisor. This role involves providing administrative and sales support to a team of Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs). The incumbent will cater to a wide range of duties related to the day-to-day sales functions and will act as the primary communicator between the MLO and customers.
Responsibilities of the Mortgage Banking Advisor
The key responsibilities of the Mortgage Banking Advisor include:
- Interacting with customers to set expectations about appointments, loan statuses, rate inquiries, and other information.
- Confirming appointments and reviewing documents with customers at the time of applications to ensure efficiency.
- Providing marketing support to Mortgage Loan Originators, and acting as a liaison between Customers and MLOs.
- Attending in-person loan closings at Customer’s homes or places of business, necessitating travel to various locations in Philadelphia, Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
- Showing self-motivation, ambition, and a readiness to pursue a career in Residential Mortgage sales.
Qualifications for the Mortgage Banking Advisor Role
The minimum qualifications for the role include:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Prior sales and customer service experience.
- The ability to travel to different Bank and Customer locations to perform loan closings.
- Registration or the ability to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- The ability to resolve problems quickly and independently.
- The ability to make decisions and recommendations on difficult and important issues affecting individual loan transactions within their level of authority.
The base salary for the role is $44,146, with additional earnings possible through commissions based on individual production. The actual base pay may vary based on the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
