Responsibilities and Tasks
The Banking Associate will perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and providing advice and education on all banking products and services. They will also be responsible for building trust with educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations.
Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates for the Banking Associate position should have a high school diploma or GED. They should also have at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Teller experience is preferred but not required. The chosen candidate will be required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. Strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also desired.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
The role of Banking Associate involves a mix of sedentary work and multiple tasks. The associate may be required to travel domestically on occasion. The job also includes physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting/carrying (under 25 lbs.), and occasionally bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching overhead. The associate will need to apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations and perform reading, writing, and arithmetic tasks continuously.
