This position’s key responsibility is to deliver TD’s brand promise at a store location. The associate is accountable for accurately processing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. Their work location is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and they are expected to work for 30 hours per week. They will receive a competitive salary ranging from $22.00 – $27.75 USD.

Role and Responsibilities

The Banking Associate plays a vital role in the banking process, handling a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The associate is expected to build trust with educational content & tools, provide consultative support, and advocate with proactive insights & recommendations.

A significant part of their role is to understand customer financial needs, identify opportunities to promote and educate on products and services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner. This ensures a positive customer experience. Furthermore, the associate also services the customer, on both the teller line and platform as needed, with the ability to service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit card/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and on-line (digital) banking.

Education & Experience Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or GED. One year of working with customers in any capacity is preferred. This could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is also preferred.

Applicants should have effective problem-solving skills and the ability to schedule and prioritize work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required. A notary license is preferred.

Physical Requirements

The role requires a balance of sedentary work and physical activities. Occasional domestic travel might be necessary. The Banking Associate will frequently be performing multiple tasks and operating standard office equipment. Sitting, standing, and walking will be frequent activities. They may also occasionally need to lift or carry items under 25 lbs.
