The Treasury Onboarding and Servicing Specialist will be responsible for managing the onboarding process for new treasury clients, assisting in implementing treasury services, and providing continuous servicing and support. This role demands a thorough understanding of treasury products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams. The incumbent will ensure the client’s expectations are met while complying with the bank’s operational and compliance standards.

Job Duties

The job duties of a Treasury Onboarding and Servicing Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Treasury Client Onboarding:
    • Guiding new treasury clients through the onboarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation, agreements, and system setups are completed accurately and on time.
    • Collaborating with relationship managers, sales teams, and operations to understand client needs and ensure the right treasury products and services are selected.
    • Assisting with initial approval processes to ensure that all bank policies and procedures are followed.
    • Setting up and configuring treasury services such as ACH, wire transfers, fraud prevention tools, and account access.

  • Treasury Service Implementation:
    • Working directly with clients to implement and configure treasury solutions.
    • Providing training and guidance to clients on the usage of treasury products, including online banking portals, reporting tools, and payment processing services.
    • Coordinating with the IT and operations teams to address any technical issues related to system setups and ensure timely resolution.

  • Ongoing Client Servicing:
    • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients regarding treasury product inquiries, troubleshooting, and day-to-day service needs.
    • Addressing client service issues promptly, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and maintaining strong client relationships.
    • Assisting clients in navigating complex treasury processes and systems to optimize their banking experience.
    • Monitoring and reporting any client feedback or issues to internal teams, facilitating continuous service improvements.

  • Account Maintenance & Updates:
    • Managing updates and changes to client accounts, ensuring that any modifications are processed in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
    • Conducting regular reviews of client accounts to ensure accurate service delivery, identify opportunities for product enhancements or upgrades, and manage the risk profile.
    • Account Analysis, maintenance and fee processing.

  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Working closely with internal departments, including Treasury Sales, Operations, IT, Relationship Officers, and Compliance, to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of treasury products and services to effectively communicate offerings to clients.
    • Participating in client meetings, calls, and presentations as needed to provide expertise on treasury products.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensuring that all treasury operations comply with relevant banking regulations and industry standards.
    • Assisting with audits and regulatory inquiries related to treasury services.

Requirements

The requirements for the role are as follows:

  • Education:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of experience in a treasury, cash management, or banking services role, with a focus on client service or onboarding.
    • Experience with treasury management systems, payment platforms, and banking software is highly preferred.
    • A strong understanding of treasury products (e.g., ACH, wire transfers, remote deposit, fraud prevention, lockbox services, etc.).

  • Skills:
    • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with treasury management systems is a plus.
    • A solid understanding of banking regulations, KYC, and AML compliance.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.
