Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate role, under the Personal & Commercial Banking line of business, is a key position in fulfilling TD’s brand promise at the store location. This role involves everyday banking transactions, opening new accounts, and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
The role requires the associate to perform a wide range of tasks, from processing customer transactions and delivering advice to customers, to utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers and understand their financial needs. The associate is also expected to accurately complete everyday banking transactions and service the customer’s needs on both the teller line and platform.
Education and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience can be demonstrated through various channels such as volunteering, education, or military service. It’s preferable if the candidate has demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, and strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A Notary License is also preferred.
Customer, Shareholder, and Employee/Team Accountabilities
In terms of customer accountabilities, the Banking Associate is expected to provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. Shareholder accountabilities include ensuring compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
As part of the team, the associate is expected to contribute to a positive work environment and participate fully as a team player. The associate should also actively seek opportunities to improve the delivery of work with high attention to quality standards.
Physical Requirements and Additional Information
The job may require occasional domestic travel and involves frequent sedentary work. The associate will also be required to perform multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, and respond quickly to sounds. Squatting, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead, reaching forward, pushing, and pulling may be occasionally required. The associate should also be proficient in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
